Our lead attorney, Mr. Hicks, graduated from University of Toledo Law School in 1985 after earning his B.A. from Marshall University in 1978. He was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 1988 and has since worked to help clients navigate the murky waters of social security disability and personal injury law. Mr Hicks also practices law in the greater Tri-state area including the states of Ohio and Kentucky.

Jared T. Hicks is from Huntington, West Virginia and graduated from Spring Valley High School. Jared received an undergraduate degree in Business & Finance with Honors from Marshall University in 2015 and his Juris Doctorate from Appalachian School of Law in 2018. During his time in law school, Jared earned the Book Award for three courses including Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Current Issues in Constitutional Law taught by former Virginia Court of Appeals Justice Larry G. Elder. Jared also was chosen for ASL’s Moot Court team and competed at the WVU College of Law National Energy & Sustainability Moot Court Competition in February of 2018. Jared has experience handling various cases including automobile accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and social security disability. Jared joined Kenneth P. Hicks, L.C. after graduating law school and has continued to practice law in his hometown of Huntington, West Virginia.
